Natalie Mavor Miles

Natalie Mavor Miles Natalie was born in Halifax, NS, Canada, to Australian Ballroom Champions Roy & June Mavor. Dancing from the age of 5, Natalie trained in a variety of dance styles including jazz, ballet, tap, flamenco and ballroom. At 15, Natalie won her first U.S. Amateur Championship title in the Latin American style and thereafter attended BYU where she joined the ballroom dance team. Relocating to Los Angeles, she went on to again become the United States Amateur Latin American and the U.S. Amateur 10-Dance Champion and eventually represented the U.S. at 6 World Championships. Natalie also claimed the U.S. Professional Rising Star Rhythm Championship title, as well as winning the L.A. Salsa Championships at the Mayan Club, defeating the top local Salsa talent.

Natalie has been a featured dancer on such projects as The Young and the Restless, The Geena Davis Show, The Fosse Awards, The Latin Image Awards, The Boston Tree Lighting Ceremony, a performance with Bob Hope, including a performance with Harry Connick, Jr. at the Belagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Natalie has toured with the Peter Maxwell Ballroom Dance Theatre, worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines performing in Hooray for Hollywood, Gotta Dance and Showstoppers. She has also worked for Crystal Cruise Lines as a performer, teacher and co-producer of Thatís Danciní.

Film credits include; Canít Stop Dancing, The Swan Princess, The Contest (Santa Monica Film Festival), Dance With Me, starring Vanessa Williams, and the Disney film, Enchanted, starring Patrick Dempsey.

Natalie has most recently finished working as a featured dancer on the 80th Annual Academy Awards Show.

Choreography credits include; Thatís Dancin, Crystal Cruise Lines, The Pajama Game, The Newport Opera House, and The Boston Tree Lighting Ceremony, (ABC, 2008 and 2009).

Natalie has been an instructor for the film Dance With Me and also for the film Shall We Dance, the Arthur Murray Studios in Beverly Hills, California, Letís Dance L.A., the L.A. Dance Experience, a guest instructor for the U.S.C Ballroom Dance Team, a guest instructor for Claremont College in California, a guest instructor for the University of Vermont and a guest instructor at Tufts University in Boston.

She has studied with Ron Montez and Elizabeth Curtis, Rick Valenzuela, Johan and Nadia Eftedal, Brian and Kristi McDonald, as well as studying Theatre Arts, (adagio/lifts), with Tom Slater, Cate Caplin, and June Mavor.

She teaches all levels, beginners through advanced and is completely versed in all styles of Ballroom dance including the International style and the American style of Ballroom and Latin as well as Salsa, Swing, Argentine Tango and Adagio/lifts.

Natalie is now living in New Hampshire with her husband Braden. They are very pleased to be opening such a lovely ballroom and dance studio. ďDancing has provided me with some of the highlights in my life. To be able to share my love of dance with others is a gift!Ē
