Megan Mavor

Megan Mavor was born in Houston, Texas to Australian Ballroom Champions Roy and June Mavor. Megan started dancing at the age of 3 when her parents had her in their travelling "Family Show". Soon thereafter, Megan started taking ballet, tap and jazz as well as Ballroom and Latin dance lessons. She began competing in junior competions at the age of 5. She won her first national title at the age of 11 and at the age of 13, Megan won her first title in the Open Amateur Latin division. She has studied with Corky and Shirley Ballas, Sammy Stopford, Gocha Chertkoev, Shorena Gachechiladze and Alan Fletcher to name a few. Megan is well versed in International Latin, American Rhythm and American Smooth as well as Salsa and Swing.

Megan took over the ballroom as Owner and Creative Director in March 2020. She is honored to continue to bring fun, fun, fun and the love of dance to Newport and the Upper Valley.
